The second loan I made on Kiva.org was to Batuli’s Majengo north Group in Tanga, Tanzania. This is my first group loan. To learn more about group loans click here.
The group has 3 members: Batuli, Zaina and Mwanahija. They sell shoes, clothes and bags at their respective businesses. The loan will enable the group members to buy more merchandise which should help boost profits.
The total loan amount is $375 and 10 Kiva lenders contributed. The group has promised to pay back the amount in 10 months.
